Avondale doesn't deserve any stars...worst agency I have ever dealt with. The aides arrive by van, always late, and don't get picked up by van till hours after their shift ends! I call every day but nothing changes! I've been using them for only 3 weeks and already, twice the aides arrived 8 1/2 and 9 1/2 hours late! Last week-end, the agency said my aide cancelled the night before and that is why it took the over 8 hours to get a replacement. When the aide came this weekend, he said he never cancelled. The agency told him they were taking him off my husband's case and sending the aide to a different place for last week-end! So unprofessional and dishonest! I've been trying unsuccessfully to reach someone in management. I'm trying my best to get a new agency. Avondale is the worst!!!!!!!!

I have been using this service for approximately 2 weeks and the service has been horrible! Once an aide showed up at 5:20 PM when the start time was 8:00AM. Today, it is 12:15PM and an aide has yet to show up, although the start time was 8:00AM! I haven't been called back since 10:00AM to let me know what is going on. My husband has been lying in a soaked and dirty diaper since 8:30 this morning. I am unable to change him myself although I've tried several times. I've called NUMEROUS times to see why a nurse has yet to come and see my husband and set up a care plan. I'm still waiting!Also, the aides that don't drive wait to be picked up in the evening at 8:00PM. The van shows up at 9:00, 9:30, or in one case, NOT AT ALL! The aide had to find his own way home!

Unreal first if you want the aide to come 2-2:30 hours late this is the agency! If you live in Staten Island they send you people from the Bronx! Out of 8 weeks -two days a week had 3 that came 2+ hours late. I did have a good aide 'K' then she suddenly quit! She even complained about the agency and they tried to screw her with clock ins. Two days ago they were released from the case today they sent a girl who came at 10am (supposed to be 8am normally) with a huge suitcase. Felt bad but they are no longer in the case. She too probably came from the Bronx!
