Baycare Home Care

I had to give Baycare CPAPSupplies 1 star in order to write an honest review. My spouse has been on a CPAP for 22 yrs with 2 other companies & rarely had a problem. I have received supplies from Baycare since 3/2021. Working with their system is a nightmare for the consumer whose payor sources including Medicare & secondary insurance payments provide the revenue to keep the company open. I have been told that they are in the process of "revamping their system to improve it". BC has a long way to go. I would switch to another supplier but BC's lack of an effective system has my benefits tied up. I have been waiting 25 days for a supplies ordered from my Sleep specialist. Each time I talk to somebody I have to explain the whole scenario over. Departments don't interface with each other. In summary, if you're thinking about going with BayCare for CPAP supplies go someplace else.

I've been waiting almost a month to get a cpap replacement machine, it's like one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. You get nothing but answering machines and they typically call you back when they feel like it. I'll be calling my insurance company to find another vendor , baycare sucks.

Their motto should be "for home health care go elsewhere." They over charge for everything. Machines and user replacement parts are charged to your insurance at 3 times the price you could buy it for out right. Nurse visits are charged whether the nurse actually visited or not. If they do show it's only to fulfill the minimal requirements additional inquiries are differed to someone else. Company uses answering machines on every line so they can call back at their convenience not the patient's. Customer service has no idea which department handles specific problems. They violate Hipaa by giving your info to any other company that inquires but refuse to give you information about your equipment without a signed form from you allowing them to disclose information about yourself to yourself. Which is also a Hipaa violation in not disclosing to authorized people. Greedy companies like this are why healthcare costs are out of control.
