After reading the 2 other reviews I was leery about Main Line Health Home care/hospice BUT honestly the team assigned to my husband was amazing!!! Every time I called; a nurse would call back within 10 minutes (at the most), I asked for help one night at 11:00 PM, nurse was there in 30 minutes. The relief of hospice handling medications was such a big help, no more fighting with the doctors office and pharmacy. Meds were delivered on time along with any medical equipment they ordered. From the start to the end :( every member of the team was awesome.

Mainline hospice is the worst. They promised the world to make things comfortable and an easy transition but never follow through. Trying to get a home health aide to come or even a nurse took numerous phone calls yelling and screaming. Even after our love ones demise the nurse came to verify her death. One of the things they have in the brochure is they will dress the person in what we want it before the funeral home would come to take the body. We questioned her as to if she was going to dress her in what we wanted and she said she couldn’t do it by herself we had to do it with her. That’s a hard task to do when our grieving started. People do want this done and I don’t understand why they don’t send two nurses or even a nurse and an aid. Many things were told our love one could utilize while on hospice. One was somebody to come and do art with her. She would be able to make cards for special holidays or even after her demise something written to her family members. She was excited about that. That never happened. We questioned our caseworker if they were coming. She says they will call. That never happened. There was a harpist that would come with soothing music to play for her. She looked forward to that. That never happened. Again we were told you would get a call. That never happened. When the aid and I think her name was Carmela came, she belittled myself and my love ones friend who were there caring for her. We are not trained nurses or trained healthcare workers. We are taking care of our loved one that we can trust it to Main line hospice. She told us we didn’t know how to fold sheets properly to put under the patient to lift them. We didn’t know what we were doing and laughed at us. Unprofessional is an understatement for the way this lady talked and treated us. This is just the worst hospice. If you care about your loved ones please choose another hospice to use.

If you love yourself or your loved one you will do yourself a favor and not use Mainline Health Home Care and Hospice. In my grandmothers final days the staff at MLH were AWFUL! They could barely give her the time of day. The nurse that was assigned just basically came and made it a social time to talk about herself and basically vented about current family situations. However when it came to my grandmothers care she could have cared less. My grandmother had a wound that needed to be looked at and it took over a month to finally get the wound care nurse to look at it. But let me add it took my grandmothers daughter threatening to call up the MLH Home Care and Hospice management food chain all the way up to the president of the company. However when the head manager of the Hospice heard within hours the wound care nurse was at my house. The nurse insisted on putting my grandmother on hospice months before it was necessary, she came and reprimanded family members who advocated for my grandmother, and on the last visit was rude as ever. In my grandmothers final moments of life the hospice call center was worthless and wanted to call back when all we needed to know was how to make my grandmother comfortable in her final moments. So if you truly love yourself or your loved one don’t even consider Mainline Health Home Care and Hospice, unless you want a delay of care because their motto is transition to hospice quickly so they can get more money from Medicare for their services, and then let them die.
