Regency at Bluffs Park

I was a patient at Regency at Bluffs Park in Ann Arbor for 2.5 weeks following major back surgery. I would not send my worst enemy to this place. The nurses were always late with my pain medication which left me in tears many times. The food was so disgusting I went for 4 days barely eating anything. Jay in PT was great and Amanda who is one of the CNAs was awesome. There was another CNA by the name of George who was great. Those 3 people were the best.

This rehab center left my mother in worse shape than when she arrived. Despite the challenges of COVID, the 2 week treatment/stay of my 92 year old mother was poor as follows:1. Care Team did not meet with family caregiver for one week2. Care Team was unable to do PT/OT well with patient with memory loss3. My mother was found on the floor at 6 am lying on her back trying to get to the bathroom4. Social worker did not return calls after 48 hours5. Rehab center dropped mother off at hospital with no escort or advice to the family caregiver6. Insurance company with long distance review by doctor was going to discharge my mother without review of her fracture7. Discharge nurse did not contact pharmacy for meds needed for my mother in a timely manner.

Highly recommend. This facility was a great choice for my recovery. Overall it was an amazing experience. Wonderful and Caring staff, all 100+- who take a lot of pride in their work. Daily encouragement and kind words. Really appreciates them today and everydayThe care is amazing. Nursing are here for your safety and really caring around the clock. Very compassionate in changing my wounds and being consistent with medications.The food was amazing and they worked with me on choices.My daughter and son wants to say “Thank you for all the dedicated staff here that went above and beyond caring for our mom like your very own.”The therapist (physical therapist and occupational therapist) are super professional and very knowledgeable in understanding the healing process. OMG learned so much which made the recovery process faster and encouragingThe housekeeping is daily and room and bathroom well cleaned. Really appreciated the extra care and attention you all provided.The recreation is full of activities if you want to socialize or do an activity alone! The administration staff are very supportive and really involved in the patients care. The team is amazing!Thanks so much for all you have done for us during my stay. While I hope no one has to go to rehab but If you need to I recommend them!
