My mom has been a resident at The Courtyard two years. God has truly blessed us through the staff and management at The Courtyard. My mom is much more active now than when she was living on her own. The staff makes sure that she has the proper medication, nutrition and companionship. Her room is comfortable and clean. She can play games with other residents, attend church services and engage in many other social events. I have been there on many occasions and have found the staff to be pleasant and loving to all the residents. If there is ever a problem with the way my mom is acting, or if they notice anything that seems off, they contact me right away. The Courtyard has become my mom's home for the past two years and will continue to be. I love it there, but most importantly she loves it there!Ray C.

My father was a resident of this assisted living facility for over 3 years from June 2016 through November 12, 2019. He thoroughly enjoyed his time at the Courtyard of Lexington. It has always been associated with the caring legacy of the Hutton family. As a point of reference, we have also experienced numerous other nursing and rehab facility stays for our parents, ranging from weeks to years. We can fully attest to the fact that the caring management and core seasoned and loyal staff associated with the Courtyard give this facility a 5 star rating from us. My father was of sound mind up until his last days. He loved his room, comrades, dining time and days spent at the Courtyard. Never more fully did he appreciate the care and compassion than in his last months when staff fully embraced a very difficult time with him. He cried and apologized to staff at their level of patience and caring they provided. And we know similar stories from so many other families there over the years. It is very easy to nit pick these facilities. They are ALL understaffed and overworked at times. Help wanted signs are posted for all facilities in the area. The “institutional” food is always a favorite thing to criticize. This is the nature of a most tedious, difficult “calling” known as caregiving. And it’s not for the faint of heart. Hats off to these unsung heroes! The Courtyard supplied special foods as necessary, treats and programs that brought smiles, supervision and care with meds administered from secure blister packets. Many times, observant staff phone calls helped secure a necessary doctor’s appointment to avoid bigger issues. The rooms were cleaned and repaired as needed, the residents were groomed and loved, and the families we knew that entrusted their loved ones to the Courtyard were most pleased. This facility was an answer to our prayers, even at our greatest time of need. We are a local family who visited weekly, if not daily. We are forever grateful to The Courtyard at Lexington.

Only one place in town is worse! No hot water in kitchen day I visited dishes washed in cold water. No nurse on duty! Staff really nice, overworked a lot. Meal looked really poor. Manager not on site if just dropping by. Building looks rundown. Keep looking.

Living on the street would be better than living there

Our parent had there medicines stolen from here, police investigating. No nurse here, don't follow prescription orders . Meals were cheap. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Staff was kind, owners not so much.

We looked at a few assisted living places for our mother. But this one was the worst. Run down looking. And when I saw untrained staff passing meds..I was done.there is no nurse on site!!!Plus the residents seemed like they needed Nursing home care. .Staff looked stressed and overwhelmed.Please...look closely if you go on a tour.. remember no nurse

Run away! No nurse, no activities schedule, understaffed, most residents look like nursing home - memory problems? walls and ceiling cracked, ceiling water stained - public restroom ceiling looks like black mold, tubs only. Untrained staff was handing out medicines at meal time - meal looked poor.
