The Manor of Novi

Husband was there twice, placed there by hospital. Do not go here. Staff rude, yells at patients. The therapy team is good and did a good job with husband, but management and staff does a very poor job. Will never return my loved one there no matter what hospital says.

Please Be Aware where you take your love ones!!!!! check it out thoroughly and make sure you check on them daily!! I felt Deceived!!! My husband was admitted to the rehab facility at the Manor of Novi on Meadowbrook Rd. The administrator in admission was very nice and polite. she answer all my questions and I felt comfortable to take my husband to this establishment. I was told due to my husband not being vaccinated that he had to do 14 days in quarantine because of Covid19. I was told that he would receive the same care as the other patients and all his services he needed would be brought to his room. I also question how would I see him on a daily basis and I was told through window visits and video chat. I agreed to this commitment. I was informed to call before I visit so they could have him ready for me to see him in the window. I saw my husband everyday for about 5 days and he was always lying in the bed. He was wearing a different shirt that was not familiar to me. He didn't look happy to me. His clock on the wall was not working and the room seem to be to depressing. I called the facility to see if I can take him home due to the way he looked and his facial expressions. He has always been a perky person and excited to see his family and friends here he was sad and alone in his room. I was granted my request he was able to come home. on Friday May 21st 2021 he was released at 4:20pm. As his wife and my children we were happy to see that door open with him behind it. When that door open and I saw my husband he looked homeless and very unkept. his clothes were filthy and holes around the pockets!!! he had on a short sleeve shirt and it was 65 degrees outside and he had on socks no shoes!!!!his skin was Ashy and extremely dry!! flakes were falling from his skin!!!!! he smell horrible he had BM on him!!!! oh my God this was so devastating for me and my family!!! I was handed a bag with clothes that was soiled and a jacket with a shirt on a hanger they were not his!!!!!!!! the clothes that he came out in were dirty and faded with holes they were not his clothes!!!!!! I bought up his clothes in a suitcase with 6 days of clothes the next day after he was admitted. I was told that they would label them and clean them due to Covid19 restrictions policy. I put label on some of things like I was told to do so they would know who it would belong to. The hurt and pain I felt when I saw my husband had me literally crying and walking the parking lot because I didn't want to use words that filled my stomach,throat and the inside of my mouth!!! when I release the pain and hurt on the other side of the vehicle that was going to transport my husband home. I walk back up to the attendant and the nurse that I told this was unacceptable to bring my husband out smelling and looking this bad was not right!!! I demanded that they take him back inside clean him up and bring him back to me in his own clothes. and bring me his other clothing!!! not these old nasty clothes in the bag and on the hanger !! that didn't belong to him!!!! How dare you tell me about Covid19 restrictions. But you dressing my husband in other people clothes!!! really !! this facility fail me and my husband. If they brought him out like that!! Then lord have mercy on the individuals that were inside this facility!!!! I pray whoever read this please check on your love one and just because this facility is in Novi well you can see that don't mean a thing. being neglected could be anywhere. Just follow your heart and be very selected and do your research before you settled !! It pays to read the reviews and some research!! This facility is in The Hall of Shame for me!!!
