Wellbridge of Brighton

This place needs help. August of 2022 . Not enough staff to even try to take care of the ones in this rehab. One Rn for 25 to 30 people. Not one shower was given in weeks, bed changes good luck and getting your schedule meds could take hours. There are some excellent nurses but they are on 12 to 16 hour shifts . Rns are delivering meals they should be taking care of the patient. And they get the agency nurses that have no idea what they are doing. And have no knowledge of the patient. Some of the staff wear perfume so strong it gags you. The director of nursing is missing in action where ever she is at. When she short staff she should work never saw her. There favorite sayings is we are short staffed,but is it they do not want to spend the money????????? Room smelled ask aid why and response was urine on the carpet. They vacuum about every 2 weeks. Family member has been there a month and they have washed bathroom floor once . The worse part is no Rns. I will call State of Michigan and see what can be done. If someone is in there please visit a-lot so they know someone is overseeing them

My mother went to Wellbridge of Brighton post surgery for rehab. We called and were told that they allowed in person visit however upon our arrival we were immediately met by the director and very rudely told you can’t come in here. No information no welcome pack just a map to where her window was. The tech and nurses were nice but severely understaffed and unable to provide the care that she needed. We transferred out of the facility within a week.

Sadly my mom did not receive very good care. Very long story but she was rehabbing from a broken hip and after two falls there - she broke the other hip. I would seek a better staffed facility for my loved one.

Our mother was at Wellbridge Brighton from 2/26-4/24/19. When she was discharged she had bedsores that continue to require care from home health nurses and sores on her feet from her shoes being too tight all day long. She was to be there for physical therapy yet, her legs and arms are now contracted she can not bear weight or raise her arms. We are very dissatisfied.

I transferred to Wellbridge of Brighton after a horrific 4 day stay at Medilodge of Howell. So wish I would have come to Wellbridge first! The staff is genuinely caring and very competent. You can tell they love what they do. The facility is immaculate with a spa-like atmosphere. The Physical Therapy staff were a lot of fun! I looked forward to recreational therapy, so many fun projects. The food was exceptional! I highly recommend Wellbridge. I can't say enough good things about them. 10 Star!
